Silva Blasts 3 Home Runs in 4-1 Diamondbacks Win

Arizona and San Francisco got after it at Chase Field.
José Silva impressed in the 4-1 Arizona win over San Francisco. Silva, who is tied for 4th in the NL in runs scored with 30, hit 3 home runs. Danny Hatfield earned the win for Arizona. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 3-4. Jorge Gonzáles picked up his 13th save of the season.
Arizona took a 3-1 lead on Silva's 10th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Clarence Davis in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Arizona to the win.
"If it's down the middle," said Silva, "you might as well hit it."
The loss makes San Francisco 21-29.
