The FCL Orioles overcame a good performance by FCL second baseman Ben Bennett to knock off FCL, 5-4, at Ed Smith Stadium. Bennett hit 2 home runs. The Orioles have an impressive 28-14 record.

Had Jeff McCarthy not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, McCarthy hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Orioles.

"We take it day by day here," said McCarthy, "and today was a good one for us."
