Mets Take Tight Tangle
Both teams had their chances, but the FCL Mets eventually prevailed.

The Mets grabbed a win, 5-4, at Ensigns Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from FCL pitcher Les Jones. Jones went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The loss makes FCL 17-26.

The decisive blow was delivered by Steve Hunt in the bottom of the eighth when he hit a run-scoring double off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Morgan to win the game for FCL. The home crowd went nuts.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Hunt said.
