Despite a great performance by FCL left fielder Rob Fuller, the FCL Hammers defeated the Yankees by the score of 4-3 at Champion Stadium. Fuller was 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Wally Daniel collected his 5th save. FCL now has a record of 21-16 with the win.
Right Fielder Rubén Chávez made an impact for FCL, when he swatted a 2-run triple off Bob Goodwin in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Chávez went 1 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs.
