|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the FCL Tigers and FCL Yankees.
The FCL Tigers defeated the FCL Yankees, 5-4, in part because of center fielder Tony Durán. Durán went 3-4 with 3 singles for the Tigers. FCL reliever Joe MacPherson was credited with the win. His record goes to 1-2. Rizaldo Arcilla took the loss for FCL. Jared Allen earned the save for FCL, his 4th.
With the game tied, 4-4, in the bottom of the fifth, Durán had a key at-bat for FCL. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Durán hit a run-scoring single off Rizaldo Arcilla, making the score 5-4, Tigers.
"Ah," said Durán in a jubilant clubhouse, "the sweet smell of victory!."
Today's win puts FCL at 16-19, while FCL falls to 14-21.
