Led by Phil Allen, the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays downed the New York A2 (GCL) Yankees2, 10-3. Allen was 2-3 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Blue Jays. Jorge Medina earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 3.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. The Blue Jays, now 14-19, know that wins in August count the same as wins in September.

With Toronto (GCL) leading 6-2 in the bottom of the sixth, Allen came up to bat against New York A2 (GCL) pitcher Greg Saunders. Allen hit a fastball to right-center for a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Blue Jays on top, 9-2.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Allen.
