The Minnesota (GCL) Twins had to overcome a good performance from Boston (GCL) pitcher Kevin Walters to claim a 3-2 win at JetBlue Park. Walters went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Joe Hale, now 1-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Chris Arnold collected his 4th save.

Dave MacCaw, who is tied for 9th in the GCL with a .463 on-base percentage, had a direct impact on the outcome. MacCaw contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Minnesota (GCL) up, 3-2.

"I like winning," MacCaw told the Minnesota (GCL) Herald. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."

The win for the Twins lifted their record to 19-12.
