Houston (GCL) Gets 7-3 Road Win
Spirited fans greeted the New York A2 (GCL) Yankees2 for their clash with the Houston (GCL) Astros.

The Houston (GCL) Astros defeated the New York A2 (GCL) Yankees2, 7-3, at Timberwolves Stadium today. Leading the charge for Houston (GCL) was left fielder Billy Ward. He went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Don MacIntosh earned the win to go to 3-1. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 3 strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work. Monty Converse, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save.

The Astros took a 7-3 lead in the top of the ninth inning. Facing New York A2 (GCL) hurler Bob Wolfe with two outs, Ward hit a 3-run home run.
