Bright House Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Philadelphia (GCL) Phillies and New York A2 (GCL) Yankees2.

New York A2 (GCL) first baseman José Pérez had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-7, to Philadelphia (GCL) at Bright House Field. Pérez hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Bengt Colding, the winner, goes to 2-0. He allowed 5 runs on 7 hits, with no walks and 9 strikeouts over 6 innings. The save went to Jorge Salgero, number 2 for him.

Third Baseman Chip Jordan made an impact for Philadelphia (GCL), when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Odílio Farias in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Jordan went 2-3 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2.

"We certainly don't want to get used to losing," said losing manager Jose Flores.
