Los Angeles used a superb performance from starting pitcher José Cruz to down the San Diego Padres, 3-0. Mike Morin recorded the save for Los Angeles, his 16th of the season. The Dodgers have now won 4 straight.

Cruz ran roughshod over the San Diego lineup. The right-hander allowed just 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 7. With the victory, he goes to 6-0 on the season.
