Blue Jays Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
The Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays defeated the New York A2 (GCL) Yankees2, 11-7, at Timberwolves Stadium. Toronto (GCL) catcher Curt Morales had a superb performance. He went 2-3 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Picking up the win was Duane Short. He went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 1. Eugene Howe earned save number 5.

Toronto (GCL) took a 6-2 lead on Morales's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Charlie Porter in the top of the seventh, propelled Toronto (GCL) to the win.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Morales.

Yes, it was a win for Toronto (GCL); but their 6-13 mark is nothing to crow about.
