The New York A2 (GCL) Yankees2 defeated the Pittsburgh (GCL) Pirates, 9-8. Doing his part was center fielder Lou Lemus, who was 4 for 6 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. New York A2 (GCL) reliever Ron Varvaro picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Stan Valentine was tagged with the loss. New York A2 (GCL) goes to 5-5.
