The FCL Astros beat the FCL Marlins, 7-5, at Ballpark of Belvedere. The Astros got a fine performance from right fielder Calvin Moriarty, who went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Gus Stehn snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Ben Sherman suffered the loss. Manny Pérez earned the save for FCL, his 2nd of the year.

Moriarty had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a 0-1 fastball from Jimmy Herman, he banged a 2-run double to right, giving the Astros a 6-4 lead. It was the 5th double of the year for Moriarty.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Moriarty told a FCL News reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."

The loss makes FCL 2-6.
