The FCL Red Sox defeated the FCL Twins, 5-4. Center Fielder Artie May deserved a large share of the credit. May hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Red Sox. The win was credited to Nelson Cruz in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Kevin Mix took the loss. FCL drops to 2-3.

May had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-2 slider from Kevin Mix, he banged a run-scoring double to left, giving the Red Sox a 5-4 lead. It was the 2nd double of the year for May.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," FCL manager Sammy Solis said, following the tough loss.
