Mets Trip Cardinals, 5-3, in Extra Innings
The New York N (GCL) Mets topped the St. Louis (GCL) Cardinals, 5-3, in Gulf Coast Rookie League action at Roger Dean Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of New York N (GCL) pitcher Ricky Sorensen. Gil Cayley earned the save for New York N (GCL), his 1st of the year. With their winning streak at 5, the Mets have raced to a strong start this season.

The Mets got a big at-bat from catcher Cam Potts. For the game, Potts went 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the tenth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave New York N (GCL) a 5-3 lead.
