Yankees2 Topple Blue Jays with Late Rally
New York A2 (GCL) and Toronto (GCL) duked it out and the Yankees2 came out victorious.

The New York A2 (GCL) Yankees2 beat the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays, 6-3, at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. New York A2 (GCL) designated hitter Luis Ybarra had an outstanding performance. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. In 7 innings, Ybarra surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Ron Varvaro, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.

The Yankees2 got a lift from pinch hitter Dave MacNamara who had a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning off Jon Downing. It was his 1st home run of the season and put New York A2 (GCL) in front, 4-2.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Ybarra told the New York A2 (GCL) Today. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
