					| Philadelphia (GCL) Loses, 8-5, in 10 |
					| The Philadelphia (GCL) Phillies inaugurated the 2025 campaign with a disappointing 8-5 loss to the Pittsburgh (GCL) Pirates in 10 innings at Bright House Field. Pittsburgh (GCL) shortstop Tim Flowers had a big impact on the outcome. He went 4 for 6 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Noel Anderson saved it for Pittsburgh (GCL).
Pittsburgh (GCL) used the timely hitting of Mitch Winkler to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Pirates on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Flowers told a local reporter after the game.
