Tampa Bay Rays starter Kevin Murray was dealing. He helped his team knock off the Miami Marlins, 4-2. Joe Montgomery earned the save for Tampa Bay, his 11th. Tampa Bay is now 20-26, Miami 20-27.

Dave Lacy went 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Tampa Bay. The 29-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Steven Matz. It was his 3rd hit of the season.

"Kevin pumped strikes and he made good pitches when he had to," said Tampa Bay manager Joey Cora.
