Behind an impressive start by Dan Crawford, Arizona beat Colorado, 8-1. The winning pitcher was Crawford, now 4-1. He tossed 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. With the win, Arizona pushed its record to 26-18.

The Diamondbacks got a big hit from center fielder Jorge Aguilar. Facing Colorado pitcher Steve Rhind in the top of the fifth, Aguilar pounded a bases-clearing double to left-center. His 7th double of the season put the Diamondbacks ahead, 7-0.

"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Crawford.
