Blue Jays Cruise to Round 2 with Sweep
It's a sweet sweep for the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays and they have won the Round 1. The Minnesota (GCL) Twins were not able to keep pace with the Blue Jays and dropped the series in short order, losing, 3-1, in the deciding game.

"This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Minnesota (GCL) manager Darren O'Day.

It's now on to the Round 2 for Toronto (GCL) after their 3-0 series win.

Leading the way for the winners was shortstop Kevin Lewis, who was named MVP. For the series, Lewis hit .545 with a .643 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Houston (GCL) Astros - Miami (GCL) Marlins series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
