Meyer Leads Spikes to Win
The State College Spikes topped the Connecticut Tigers by a score of 9-3. Leading the way was first baseman Mike Meyer. Meyer went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Spikes. The win puts the Spikes at 36-39, while the Tigers drop to 50-25.

Jim Robinson was 1 for 5 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for State College. In the top of the sixth, with the teams deadlocked, 3-3, Robinson delivered for the Spikes. His 2-run triple put State College on top, 5-3.

Robinson told a State College Observer reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
