Colorado Absorbs 3-2 Loss to Pittsburgh
|
The Pittsburgh Pirates, despite a fine performance by Colorado pitcher Rory Turner, grabbed a 3-2 win at PNC Park. Turner allowed no runs over 6 innings. Joe Kaiser recorded the save for Pittsburgh, his 13th of the season. With the win, the Pirates have a record of 25-19.
Jeremy Bowen, who is tied for 4th in the NL in triples with 3, helped out the Pittsburgh cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a 2-run home run. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Pittsburgh manager Jose Mijares.
