Pirates Make It 14 Straight Losses
The Princeton Rays topped the Bristol Pirates, 5-4, with youngster Ben Young playing a key role. Young went 4 for 4 with 4 singles for the Rays in the win. Raúl Morales snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-0 on the season. Randy Dasher suffered the loss. The save was Ken Horn's, his 4th.

The Rays got a big at-bat from second baseman Éric Lasserre. For the game, Lasserre went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Princeton a 3-2 lead.

"We've got to kick it in gear soon," said Bristol manager Jumbo Diaz.
