Ben Young had a good game, but he could not keep the Princeton Rays from falling, 4-3, to the Bluefield Blue Jays at Bowen Field. The Princeton right fielder hit 2 home runs in the loss. The save went to Jake Cook, his 13th this season. With the win, Bluefield raised its record to 27-24.

Chris Black, the 31st overall pick in the 2024 draft, chipped in a 2-run home run for Bluefield in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
