The Pulaski Yankees topped the Bluefield Blue Jays, 7-5, in Appalachian League action at Bowen Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Pulaski pitcher Glen Fulton. Pulaski has a 4-game win streak, while Bluefield has lost 5 in a row.

It could have been a different outcome for Pulaski, had it not been for Héctor Miranda, the 21-year old center fielder . Miranda contributed a run-scoring triple in the top of the sixth inning to put Pulaski up, 6-5.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Fulton told the Pulaski Daily. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
