Austin Goes Wild, But Mets Win
The Kingsport Mets overcame a pretty good performance by Greeneville third baseman Robby Austin, beating the Astros, 8-7, at Pioneer Park. Austin went 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The defeat makes Greeneville 11-9.

Shortstop Héctor Moya made an impact for Kingsport, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Dan Weldon in the top of the fifth. For the contest, Moya was 2-5 with a double.

"I like our moxie," said Mets manager Luis Avilan.
