Doubledays Lose Again, 5-2, to Cyclones
|
Brooklyn picked up a win at Falcon Park, toppling the Auburn Doubledays, 5-2. Pitcher Joe Collins was one of the reasons the Cyclones triumphed. Jarrod Wilson finished to wrap up his 17th save. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for Brooklyn.
Brooklyn relied on the hitting of Jim Hurst to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Cyclones on top, 3-0. For the game, Hurst had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Takanobu Sato, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
