9-5 Loss Extends Salem-Keizer Skid
|
R.J. Johnson left his imprint on the 9-5 Tri-City win against the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. Johnson was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Tri-City reliever Nelson Guerrero was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Doug Taylor took the loss. Ben Dundee notched his 1st save of the season.
Tri-City grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Johnson hit a 3-run home run off Doug Taylor. His 1st home run of the season put the Dust Devils out in front, 4-1.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Johnson. "And not try to do too much."
