Núñez Helps Everett Outscore Vancouver
AquaSox designated hitter Juan Núñez left his mark on his team's 14-10 win over the Vancouver Canadians. Núñez, who is tied for 6th in the NWL in bases on balls with 35, went 4-5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Everett in the contest. Everett pitcher Rodrigo Saldaña earned the win, hiking his record to 5-5. Darren Nelson suffered the loss. The AquaSox, at 39-30, lead by one game in their division.

Jeff McCormick, who is tied for 9th in the NWL in hits with 84, aided the Everett cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the second. For the game, the third baseman was 3 for 5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.

"We knocked the fire out of the ball," said Everett manager Dennis Pelfrey. "The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see."
