Emeralds Take Down Canadians, 4-2
The Eugene Emeralds picked up a win at Nat Bailey Stadium, taking down the Vancouver Canadians, 4-2, in 13 innings. On the mound for Eugene was left-hander Rinaldo Saro. He played a central role in the triumph. The win elevated the Emeralds to 36-31.

Eugene relied on the hitting of Kurt Pike to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put the Emeralds on top, 3-2. For the game, Pike had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Pike.
