The Vancouver Canadians got a strong performance from pitcher Derek West, who stymied the Boise offense en route to a win, 7-2, at Nat Bailey Stadium. Vancouver raised its record to 31-27 with the win.

Kevin McMahon went 1-3 with a double for Vancouver. The 22-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Brad Lewis. It was his 8th RBI of the season.

"I thought we played a nice game," McMahon told the Vancouver News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
