The Boise Hawks pinned a convincing loss on the Everett AquaSox, 9-3, at Memorial Stadium. Joe Neslony was a main factor in the win. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 6 runs and scored once for Boise. Pete Mason earned the win for Boise. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. Daron Davenport closed out the game, earning his 1st save.
With Boise leading 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth, Neslony hit a sinker from Jorge Cordero for a grand slam home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Hawks ahead, 8-3.
"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Neslony.
The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Boise.
