Ed Chapman was a major contributor to the 9-8 Tri-City win over Eugene. The Dust Devils left fielder hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. The winner in relief was Joe Huggins. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 2.2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0.

António Peña was the walk-off hero for Tri-City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Dust Devils designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The crowd lost its ever-loving mind tonight," said a grinning Chapman.

The Dust Devils improved to 16-23.
