The timely hitting of Alvin Farmer helped the Princeton Rays take down the Burlington Royals, 4-3, in 10 innings. Farmer was 4 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 3 times for the Rays. With the loss, Burlington drops to 1-4.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jeff Pope in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 22-year old left-handed pitcher Kevin McCormick to win the game for Princeton. The home crowd went nuts.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Burlington manager Bartolo Colon.
