Starting pitcher Tony Martínez had a solid game. He was a big reason the Williamsport Crosscutters throttled the Auburn Doubledays, 3-2. The Pinckney Division-leading Crosscutters are 43-20.

Dave Commo drove in one run for Williamsport. In a tie game with two out in the bottom of the seventh, Commo came through with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It put the Crosscutters in front, 3-2.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Martínez.
