The Auburn Doubledays faced a tough opponent in Williamsport pitcher Baltesar Covilh, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Bowman Field by a final score of 9-6. Covilh went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Aurelio Flores notched his 14th save in 14 chances. Auburn is 5th in the Pinckney Division with a record of 23-39.
The Doubledays got a big at-bat from catcher Desi Vogel, who in the top of the seventh hit a 2-run double. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Doubledays on top, 8-5.
"Good win for our guys," said Vogel.
