Renegades Scratch Out 1-0 Win
|
Pitcher Juan Quintero was sensational for the Hudson Valley Renegades in his team's 1-0 triumph over the West Virginia Black Bears. Quintero picked up the win, and it was well-earned. Quintero got the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 5.2 innings. Quintero allowed no runs. Earning his 15th save for Hudson Valley was José Ramírez.
Jesús Mencío was a prime factor in the win for the Renegades. In the top of the second with one out, the 21-year old second baseman hit a solo home run. He was 1-4 with a home run.
"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said West Virginia manager Edwin Moreno. "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
The win boosted Hudson Valley to 32-28.
