The Connecticut Tigers knocked off the Vermont Lake Monsters by the score of 5-3. Nate Trent provided some pop, going 3-for-3 with 1 home run. Sandy Lowe picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed no runs on no hits, while walking 5 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 4-4. Connecticut is now riding a 3-game win streak.
The Tigers got an important contribution from left fielder Dax Johnson, who in the bottom of the first knocked a full count fastball into left for a 2-run double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Tigers ahead, 4-0.
