Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at MCU Park.

Beau MacHeth did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Brooklyn Cyclones from being beaten, 12-10, to the Tri-City ValleyCats at MCU Park. MacHeth went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Tri-City reliever Jorge Colón picked up the win, upping his record to 2-6. Rodrigo Pérez absorbed the loss.

Tri-City used the clutch hitting of Joe Parsons to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the ValleyCats the lead, 11-10. For the game, Parsons had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Parsons.

With this game in the books, Tri-City is 25-25, Brooklyn 25-25.
