Muckdogs Continue Skid, Thanks to Taylor, Lake Monsters
Behind the hitting of Sean Taylor, the Vermont Lake Monsters defeated the Batavia Muckdogs, 9-6. Taylor went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for the Lake Monsters. Stu Russell picked up the win, lifting his record to 4-3 on the season. He struck out 8 and walked 1 in 8.2 innings, while yielding 6 runs. The second-place Muckdogs have lost 4 straight games.

With Vermont leading 5-2 in the bottom of the sixth, Taylor hit a fastball from Steve Cole for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Lake Monsters ahead, 8-2.
