Connecticut Tigers starter Dan Norman was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the State College Spikes, 4-2. Yasunobu Hayagawa earned the save, his 9th. The Tigers bumped their record to 23-12 with this latest triumph.

Runs were at a premium. So, Luis Aquino's at-bat in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With no one out, the Connecticut first baseman hit a 2-run home run, to put hit team ahead, 4-2.

After the game, Connecticut manager Bo Porter applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
