Crosscutters Take Tight Tilt, 4-2
Williamsport pitcher Tommy Grant did his part in helping his team beat the West Virginia Black Bears, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Williamsport pitcher Dave Brown got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Pat Gorman got the loss. The Crosscutters, now 23-11, have won 5 in a row.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the tenth, with Williamsport trailing 2-1, Ken Stephens jumped on a first pitch splitter from Pat Gorman for a 3-run home run, sending the Crosscutters to a walk-off win.

"Enjoyed this one," Grant told the Williamsport Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
