Tony Trujillo brought his A-game to help Staten Island defeat the Auburn Doubledays, 9-1. The Doubledays, now 14-15, have lost 4 straight.

Joe Phipps, who is tied for 8th in the NYP in RBI with 20, took Auburn hurler Myron McCain deep in the bottom of the second. His 3-run home run put the Yankees on top, 3-0. In all, Phipps had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"To get where we want to as a team, we all have to do things out of our comfort zone," Phipps told the Staten Island Chronicle.
