Doubledays right fielder Álex Rodríguez put his stamp on his team's 6-4 win over the Lowell Spinners. Rodríguez went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs for Auburn in the contest. Wilmer Torres, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. Aurelio Flores collected save number 6.

Auburn used a clutch hit from Eric Edwards to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Doubledays ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Edwards, "and then get after it again."

Even with the win, the Doubledays have a dismal 9-18 record.
