Renegades Victorious at Aberdeen, 3-1

Spirited fans greeted the Aberdeen Ironbirds for their clash with the Hudson Valley Renegades.
The Hudson Valley Renegades beat the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 3-1, at Ripken Stadium. Starting pitcher Steve Brown was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Brown yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-2. Tommy Moody was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save.
The Renegades had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 3-1, Hudson Valley, with no one out. Aberdeen, with the bases empty, was mounting a threat. Willie Brown dug in at the plate, but on a 2-2 changeup, he struck out.
The losing streak for Aberdeen has now reached 4 games.
