					| Boston Tacks 3-1 Loss on Texas |
					| The Boston Red Sox got a stellar effort from pitcher Phil Christopher, helping Boston score a win over the visiting Texas Rangers, 3-1. The current losing streak for Texas has reached 4 games.
Had Steve Potter not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Potter hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Red Sox.

"Phil -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Red Sox manager Alvin Morman. "He was the key to us winning."
