Tigers Win at Lowell, 2-1

Connecticut got a first-rate effort from pitcher Juan López, who frustrated Lowell hitters en route to a 2-1 Tigers triumph at Edward A. LeLacheur Park. The save went to Yasunobu Hayagawa, his 5th this season. Connecticut now has a 3-game win streak.
Dave Murphy was a prime factor in the win for the Tigers. In the top of the second with no one out, the 25-year old left fielder hit a solo home run. He went 1 for 4 with a home run.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Murphy told the Connecticut Observer.
