Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Williamsport Crosscutters and Lowell Spinners.

Lowell center fielder Ron Lindsey had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Lindsey hit 2 home runs, even as Williamsport beat the Spinners, 3-2. Picking up the save was Joe Oglethorpe, his 2nd.

Williamsport used the timely hitting of Beau Crowder to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Crosscutters on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Crowder called the win "an overall solid one."

The Crosscutters sport a record of 8-13.
