Crosscutters Collect 8-7 Win Versus Connecticut
The Williamsport Crosscutters turned back the Connecticut Tigers, 8-7, at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. Ben Noble, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Ty Helms saved it for Williamsport. Williamsport has an impressive 12-5 record.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ed Wheeler? The Williamsport third baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Crosscutters on top, 1-0. For the game, Wheeler had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
