Doubledays right fielder Joe Browne put his stamp on his team's 5-4 win over the Brooklyn Cyclones. Browne went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and was hit by a pitch for Auburn in the contest. Víctor Hernández earned the win to go to 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 13 hits, with 2 walks and 8 strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work. Brooklyn drops to 9-5.

With Auburn leading 3-2 in the top of the fifth, Browne hit a run-scoring single off Brooklyn hurler Ollie Benjamin. It was the 12th hit of the season for Browne and put his team ahead, 4-2.
